  1. The Concerns & Protocols tab is gone! Protocol recommendations will now be seen on the Intake tab when you check off any of the concerns. By checking the "Only show checked items" the list will be more compact making it easier to review. Anything you do on the Intake tab will be saved when you do Extensions>Results Tracking System>Save Changes to the database.

  2. Concerns to track are now entered by going to Extensions>Results Tracking System>Add/Update Concerns. This will open a window. When you are done, click on the big blue button Add Concerns and they will be entered on the sessions tab. You do not need to do anything more to save.

  1. Entries on the Intake tab will no longer be deleted and are always there for your reference. Items can be checked or unchecked without changing what displays on the dropdown menu on the Concerns & Protocols page.

  2. The dropdown menu on the Concerns & Protocols page will display every concern on the Intake page. However it is easy to narrow down the choices by starting typing. For example, if the concern is about pain, typing “pain” will filter the list of concerns to just those that have the word “pain” in them.

  3. The Extensions>Results Tracking System>Save Changes to Concerns & Protocols has been renamed to more accurately reflect its purpose which is to copy the selected concerns to the Sessions page. As before, if you want to change a concern or reword a concern, do it on the Concerns & Protocols page and again choose “Add Concerns to Sessions tab”.

  4. You no longer need to save changes to ACE’s scores from the ACE’s tab. It is done automatically.

  5. For those who have migrated from RTS 1, it is possible to view your old RTS 1 client files using the link on the upper right corner of the Patient Info tab. You will not be able to enter data into the RTS 1 version but you will be able to see everything you have entered there before the migration.

  6. A link to a sample Informed Consent form is now on the Help tab.

  7. A couple of best practices: When opening a client, wait for the spinning circle that says “Working” to stop spinning. Otherwise there is a chance some data may not get properly loaded. Also, use the “Extensions>Results Tracking System> Save Changes to Database” before loading another client or leaving the RTS. While there is a save feature, sometimes it takes a bit of time to kick in and what you entered may not be saved.

What's different in RTS 2 from RTS 1

If you are already familiar with Results Tracking System (RTS), the new version, RTS 2 will be quite familiar. The reason for this update is mostly because the original RTS stored all the information on spreadsheets which is fine for a small amount of data but very limiting when the amount of data grows large. This does concern most users but it did make it difficult to update the program. RTS 2 can be updated much more easily which means we can take your suggestions into account to improve the program. There are four ways RTS 2 differs from RTS 1.

The biggest change is that RTS 2 uses the Extensions menu at the top of the page to perform many of the tasks that were performed by links in RTS 1

such as loading your existing clients or creating a new client. To use the RTS Extensions (you will have to load them the first time but we should help you with that when we enroll you), click on Extensions and then Results Tracking System to select what you want to happen.

The second change is that Therapist Dashboard is no longer a separate file. Rather it is now a tab called “Clients” along with all the other tabs such as Sessions or Patient Info

To load a client, you will first open the Clients tab, select any cell on the row where you see your client and then go to the Extensions menu and select “Load Client Selected on the ‘Clients’ tab”. If your list of clients is very long, you can filter them according to the Treatment Status.

The third change is what we hope is an improved process for doing an intake, selecting concerns to track and getting protocol recommendations. The Protocols and Concerns tabs in RTS 1 have been replaced with an Intake tab and a Concerns & Protocols tab. To do an intake, start with the Intake tab and then continue to the Concerns & Protocols tab. The process is explained on the tabs.

This is important: Once you have finished your intake and selected the concerns and categorized the concerns, you MUST save this work. You do this in the Extensions menu, selecting RTS>Save Changes on Concerns & Protocols tab. This is the only place in RTS where you need to do a save. The reason for this is that RTS 2 allows you to change a concern without messing up your first version.

Finally, we have put links to all the instructions, guides and resources on the Help tab as well as putting the relevant ones on individual tabs. This way you can easily find them when you need them.
